At 18, fresh out of high school, everyone told me to pursue college. Despite struggling in traditional classrooms I attempted a degree and found that path was not for me. Unsure of my next steps I had a chance to go to RefreshYou and I took it. Never would I have thought I would love being a Medical Aesthetician so much. I was taught about the skin, lasers, microneedling, facials, etc. and while the information serves me to this day, the hands-on practice I got was by far the best training I could’ve had. Now being in the industry for almost 3 years I realize just how important hands-on practice was. Anyone can memorize information on any treatment but performing the treatment is entirely different. On top of all the hands-on practice, the instructors were extremely knowledgeable and answered every question I could possibly have.
