Questions & Answers

Upon succeful completion of the full Medical Aesthetics course load (with the additional hands-on training and certifications) your title would be Medical Aesthetician or Medical Aesthetics Technician.

A medical aesthetician has the training and knowledge to customize treatments to your skin’s unique qualities using Medical Grade products and non-invasive medical equipment such a Radio Frequency, Lasers, and IPL technologies.

Yes RefreshYou is accredited through The Canadian Association of Medical Spa’s and Aesthetic Surgeons.

You can take the online portion any time at your leisure. There is no time restraint for the online theory portion. The length of the hands-on training and certification can vary between courses and is dependant upon the current course schedule.

Upon completion of the online courses, we recommend purchasing the Hands-on Training & Certification to obtain practical training and experience.

Without Hands-on Training & Certification, it would be difficult to obtain a position in a clinic.

Our training centre is in Maple Ridge, BC.

Injection treatments, such as botox, can only be administered by licensed doctors. You will not be able to provide injection services yourself, but you may be able to assist a doctor that does provide these services.

The Hands-on Training & Certification is separate from the online theory course.

The online course is available on Thinkific.

The Hands-on Training & Certification is available at our BC location for a separate fee.


Admissions Policy

Policy Statement:

The Admissions Policy supports RefreshYOU in its efforts to enroll students who meet program admission, and program requirements, and who are likely to succeed in achieving their education goals. This policy is also set to:

• Define the criteria. The applicant must satisfy all requirements in order to be considered for admission to RefreshYOU.

• Create clear expectations of our curriculum and a standard of behavior.

General Admission Requirements:

• Certificate of High school completion or acceptable equivalent.

• Must be minimum of 18 years of age.

• Completed and submitted your application to the school.

• Completed an interview with our admissions Director.

Age Restriction:

At the time of enrolment student must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Applicant Residency:

All Canadian residents are welcome to apply. We accept international students with advanced English.

Program Entrance Requirements

Once an applicant has met the RefreshYOU Application requirements, they then must meet the Program Requirements applicable to the course they are studying.

• Efficient English reading and writing

• Ability to take Exams/Tests provided

• Able to fulfil all hours required for completion of the course

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Time Restrictions on Provisional Acceptance:

Applicants who receive provisional acceptance from RefreshYOU must complete all admission requirements thirty (30) days prior to the first day of class. There may be exceptions on an individual basis by our admissions Director. Under no circumstances shall a student who has not cleared their conditions of acceptance be permitted to attend classes.



All Students are expected to have clean hair (long hair to be tied back and short hair off the face) and nails nicely manicured, LIGHT COLOURED NAILS only, if you are wearing polish, and nice fresh makeup.


Students must attend in black or grey scrubs, these are to be worn daily. Students are welcome to wear clean running shoes of a matching color.

We may ask students to reach out for specific tailoring to ensure the uniform fits, this will be the student's financial responsibility, if you are unable, please reach out the Admissions Team to collaborate.

We are an industry of beauty and want our clients to feel they are in the best care when they come to RefreshYOU, deodorant is to be worn and a subtle body scent is ok.

Breaks & Smoking:

You will have a 30 min lunch break which we encourage everyone to take away from the training facility to get some fresh air or change of scenery to feel fresh.

We do not encourage smoking during working hours as it does affect our clients and your coworkers in our small clinical environment.

Fraudulent Documents:

The minimum penalty for submitting fraudulent, application-related documents, is non acceptance of enrolment from RefreshYOU for one (1) full year. With no reimbursements of funds already accepted from RefreshYOU.

Incompletion of Hours:

If the enrolled student is unable to complete the committed hours associated with their program or course for reasons not deemed acceptable by the Admissions Team, RefreshYOU reserves the right to non-reimbursement. (Refer to the “Attendance Policy” # 002 and “Tuition Refund Policy” # 006)

We understand there are circumstances that cannot be controlled however, it is the student's responsibility to reach out to RefreshYOU Admissions for situation advisory.

Termination of Student Enrolment

The following terms must be agreed to before enrolment. If these terms are broken at any time, RefreshYOU reserves the right to terminate enrolment and stop student course activities immediately, with no reimbursement.

I acknowledge that RefreshYOU operates under a Respectful and Fair Treatment of students and staff policy in relation to inappropriate behavior of participants in person, or via social media, or any other virtual environment relating to a course. (Refer to the “Respectful and Fair Treatment of Students and Staff” Policy # 003)

Abusive or violent behavior of any kind directed at RefreshYOU staff, or other participants in courses or programs will not be tolerated. (Refer to the “Respectful and Fair Treatment of Students and Staff” Policy # 003)

Unfair or dishonest practices including but not limited to cheating, stealing, or any other unethical act will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Mishandling of company property:

We have expensive equipment to run our training facility efficiently, so we ask students to take extra care with the machines and materials.

During your training on our machines, ensure you know how to handle the equipment with utmost care and caution. And if you are not fully trained you do not attempt to administer any services on yourself or others without the approval and guidance of a trainer.

If for any reason staff feels that you are endangering students or staff with machines, or putting the training facility at risk, a student may have their courses halted and will be removed immediately from the course. And if applicable, may be asked to assume financial responsibility for damages, as this impacts the safety and education of others training in our facilities.


We may, at our reasonable discretion, and without liability or obligation, refund fees, refuse to supply a course to any participant, and may refuse to allow admissions for any actions listed in this document. And we may remove the participant from RefreshYOU, or any relevant premises, or virtual environment, where any participant who is in any program/course would, in our reasonable opinion, be undesirable or whose behavior we consider to be in breach of this agreement.

Withdrawl and Refund

It is the student's responsibility to become familiar with the policies and procedures which outline RefreshYOU course fee withdrawals and refunds. Students considering a course withdrawal are strongly advised to consult with their program coordinator.

Important: Not attending classes or notifying only your instructor or program coordinator of your intent to withdraw are NOT acceptable methods for formally withdrawing from a class or program.

RefreshYOU recipients should check with the program advisor, as withdrawing may affect their current or future RefreshYOU status. If students withdraw after the refund date, they are responsible for any outstanding fees and for repayment of funds to RefreshYOU, if applicable.

A student may not withdraw from their program by dropping courses. Program withdrawals must be submitted to the Director of Education, minimum of eight (8) days before the official start date of the course by submitting a completed Withdrawal Form. There are no refunds if the withdrawal form is submitted within the seven (7) days of the course start date. There are no refunds after the official start day of the course. There are no exceptions to the refund policy for students who start the module and decide to withdraw.

Please note: A 10% withdrawal fee is automatically withheld once payment is made for each individual course. Late fees are non-refundable. Fees paid by wire transfer, web banking, credit card and debit card will be refunded by Interac e-Transfer.

RefreshYOU reserves the right to not refund at any point if the “Respectful and Fair Treatment of Students and Staff Policy” is violated.

Product Return Policy

We have a 14-day return policy on products with unopened packaging only. Which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return only if you have not opened and/or used the product. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at info@refreshevolution.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

We cannot take opened and/or used products due to the nature of our products. If you have any questions please email info@refreshevolution.com. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Shipping policy


All orders qualify for free shipping regardless of the amount purchased. Free shipping is available to customers in Canada and the United States of America.


We do not ship to P.O. boxes. All orders are fulfilled Monday-Friday excluding weekends and holidays. Orders are shipped within 1-3 business days from the receipt of payment verification. We are not responsible for unexpected shipping delays caused by circumstances related to the courier or the weather. Please allow up to 5 business days for your order to be packaged & shipped during Holidays. You will receive an email with tracking information on the day your order is shipped. Please allow 24 hours for your tracking information to update. We are only able to ship to the address you indicate, please ensure that the address entered at checkout is correct.


We only ship to Canada and the United States of America. We do not ship to P.O. boxes. International packages may require additional processing time. RefreshYOU/Refresh Evolution is not responsible for additional shipping and/or customs charges incurred by customers when importing goods. If the package is returned due to unpaid charges, we will not issue a refund and reshipment charges will apply. If the wrong address is entered at checkout and the package is returned back to us there will be a reshipment fee due prior to reshipment. Once the item is shipped we are unable to make changes to the shipping address. In this case, please contact USPS to make any address changes. If your tracking information states delivered and you believe this to be an error, please contact your local post office.

Attendance policy

Attendance Policy # 002

The minimum attendance requirement for students are as follows:
• Full attendance is required.
• If the student misses a day, the Institute requires the day to be made up.

The consequences for students who do not meet the minimum attendance requirements listed above are as follows:
• If the student doesn’t make up important information missed, the student will not be able to take the final exam, and will not be granted their certificate and will have to retake the full module at the students expense.

The process by which students must report an absence is as follows:
• Any student reporting an absence is to contact reception at 778-806-4758 and advise of absence or late. Students are not to contact any of the instructors. If absense is required, RefreshYOU requires a medical physicians note to be submitted.
